Blake Lewis, known as B-Shorty to his friends, featured on four tracks on KJ Sawka's new DualDisc Cyclonic Steel

The track "Move On", featuring Blake, was recorded just prior to his incredible run on American Idol ! KJ Sawka, Blake's longtime friend and frequent collaborator, showcases Blake's purity of sound over smooth breakbeats, perfect for the late summer evening twilight.

Nobody could have imagined how far Blake would go on American Idol. Back in Seattle, he was known mostly for his incredible opening solo sets and jams in mostly hip-hop and electronica contexts. Check the Seattle Times article about Blake's Seattle musician connections.

Blake had played with Sawka, and with Sawka's other band AriSawkaDoria, before American Idol. It was great to see him return to Seattle during homecoming week and use AriSawkaDoria as his backing band! There are rumors swirling that Sawka may play more shows with Blake...stay tuned.
